There is no shortage of brilliant beatmakers, soulful singers, and just over-all gifted musicians in the country, and so Sound Fiesta was created to play host to such talents and to show just how vast and diverse our local music scene is.
We’ve already released four episodes featuring artists from different music genres (which you can check out here), but we’re definitely not stopping there. We’re on to the second session of Sound Fiesta shot in Mao Den at Black Market, and we’re debuting it with Clara Benin.
It was in 2016 that Clara decided to take an indefinite break from the live music scene, but she stayed productive by coming up with new material. So after more than a year long hiatus, she dropped “Parallel Universe” with merch and a music video to match. Parallel Universe is about a boy and a girl that just couldn’t seem to make things work as if they belonged to different pockets of the multiverse, like lovers who were just not meant to be. The track is hauntingly beautiful and devastating at best, just have a listen.
You can know more about Clara Benin and her music through her online channels: www.clarabenin.com, Facebook, Soundcloud and Instagram.
Sound Fiesta is supported by Johnnie Walker, and in collaboration with Playhouse Studio for video production and Cosmic Sonic Arts for audio management.
