By now, you must have heard of Karpos Multimedia, whether by attending one of their concerts, having friends who have, or simply seeing posts on social media. But while they’re more famously known for bringing in foreign acts like LANY, Of Monsters and Men, and Phoenix – their Wanderland Music Festival is also a testament to this – they’ve also made steps towards promoting the local music scene, such as the Wanderband competition and the inclusion of local musicians in their festival lineups.
This time around, local acts are placed at the forefront of Karpos’ new concert series, Karpos Live, which looks to uplift homegrown acts, present international acts, and give people a damn good time in the process. Mix 1.1, the first concert in the series, featured Reese Lansangan and Tom’s Story – two of the country’s finest performers. Lansangan has shown time and again her mettle in the industry with her unique compositions and ability to touch people with her creations. And Tom’s Story brought in a fresh musicality with their brand of instrumental rock, or some would also call, math rock.
That said, if you’re looking for more nights of good music and great company, follow Karpos Live (@karposlive) on Twitter and Instagram for their upcoming concerts.
