Soft synths and keys start ‘In Your Daze’ and at first it makes you think that you’re in for a lo-fi, ambient song. But that quickly changes when guitars and beats follow, and soon you are taken on a whirlwind of indie rock, electronic music, and even a little bit of jazz and R&B all rolled in about four minutes.
Soon, you’ll hear Lean Ordinario, through his moniker LONER, singing about romantic longing. Just recently, he released Autopilot, a shift from his initial band-centered sound, and ‘Your Daze’ seems to follow suit. And if this is any indication of what’s in store in his upcoming album, No Fidelity, then the new sound is a definite refresher from his previous material that you should look out for. You can hear more from Loner on SoundCloud.
