In the midst of the highly divisive political weather where online influence heavily affects the social narrative, art has always been the agency that gives room for dissent. Much is true in Calix’s new song Kildemol, where he delivers a scaldingly honest commentary through heavy beats, smooth flow, and guttural vocals.

Just like its predecessor “Di Matitinag” (with BLKD), Calix sets his socio political songs apart from other artists by homing his lyrics to specific targets. The spitfire lyrics of Kildemol criticizes the current administration through topics such as extra-judicial killings, corruption within the government, the president’s alleged drug use, and the blatant apathy of the ruling class.
