PURVEYR has always prided itself in its pursuit of the Philippine creative culture. From the opening of the flagship store in Bangkal in 2017 to their Poblacion joint last December 2018, PURVEYR Post remains the premiere retail arm of PURVEYR’s multidisciplinary brand. Now, they decided to extend their retail arm even further.
Last March 14, 2018, PURVEYR launched its third space in The Pop Up along Katipunan Avenue. Known for its sprawling space and sonorous crowd, The Pop Up is a well-known hub for food, drinks, and retail shops. Now, PURVEYR Post joins this lineup of local concepts for three months, ending on June 8, 2019.
Many mainstay brands from the Bangkal shop will be carried by PURVEYR Post Katipunan. Daily Grind, We Drool, Royalty, and Bastard tees will fill the Katipunan branch’s shelves. A popular sight in Poblacion bars, Barik Supremo Lambanog is also available as well as well as its specialty Barik Supremo Ginger Sour flavor. Bulacan-based MDCF (Modern Dark Crew & Family) and Deadways from Cebu are also stocked at Post Katipunan. Bags and caps from Davao-based Reverie and Cavite-bred Hooligans are in the store as well.
Even the furniture is noteworthy. Featuring Lamana PH’s stools and benches, PURVEYR Post Katipunan is ahead of Lamana PH’s April 24 release using their exclusive furniture for the store’s day-to-day operations. Lamana PH is actually part of Ishinomaki Laboratory’s ( 石巻工房) Made in Local initiative, and the store capitalizes on their expertise in design to adorn the humble space.
There’s a different spirit to PURVEYR Post Katipunan. It’s a little bolder, more brash. While Bangkal remains the option for your street culture needs and Poblacion a more carefully-chosen selection of contemporary products and designs, Katipunan has a different goal: to inform. The area is filled with a younger, more vibrant spirit. It’s in that spirit that there’s more room to explore and try something new, something exciting. PURVEYR Post stands on a creative threshold—being able to tell this new, untapped section to pay attention to what local brands can do and more importantly what they can inspire others to do.
PURVEUR Post Katipunan is on its maiden voyage—for three months, so far. With a budding market and promising offers, there’s a lot to unpack and discover at this retail extension. Time to pay attention, kids.
