After three years of hiatus, Aren Pe and Pau Martinez — co-founders of C.E.O. (Creative Elite Operation) and Sans Saison in the early 2010s — are finally back at making garments with Fortune. And in this new brand, the two is joined by Isai Araneta to complete the founding team. Dubbed as garments for Chaotic Good Times and Delightful Disorderly Conduct, the Autumn / Winter 2019 collection harps on duality — with contrasting fabrics, reversible elements, and paradoxical wordplay.
The collection lends from the nuances of contemporary work culture through military motifs and practical utility. Pieces such as outerwear, shirts, t-shirts, bottoms, and accessories — altogether attempt to redefine what it means to construct “workwear” staples in the 21st century.
Not only will there be a new collection for everyone, Fortune also released a fashion film done in collaboration with French duo, Zoopraxi Studio which features vivid storytelling with stunning visuals. Starred by Miguel Hernandez and with music scoring by Similarobjects, the film explores the chaotic mania one experiences as he struggles with facing different versions of himself.
The Fortune Autumn / Winter 2019 officially drops online via www.fortunewwd.com and in an exclusive Manila-based trunk show starting on September 28, 2019. More information will follow in the coming weeks through their Instagram.
