February 7 and 8, 2020 seems like a lifetime ago, but in reality, it has only been two months — two months since the first-ever FlipTop Festival, which also served as FlipTop Battle League‘s 10th year anniversary. And it’s only fitting that they’d celebrate their 10th year through this momentous event. After all, having the title as the most-viewed rap battle series in the world is not an easy feat.
But the festival featured not just FlipTop’s iconic rap battles, it also put the spotlight on DJ-ing, rap performances, and graffiti art. They also gave an avenue to artists through booths where they sold albums/EPs and merchandise. It celebrated all aspects of the hiphop culture. It also served as a gathering for rap artists, enthusiasts, fans, and friends to celebrate the culture that they all shared a common passion for. The passion is even more evident that with bad weather and the imminent scare of COVID-19, hundreds stayed and celebrated at the festival.
In addition, among all the other rap battles, this one between Shernan and Poison13 that took place during the FlipTop Festival has 1.2 million views within two days since it was released. A proper show of FlipTop’s huge and still growing fame and following.
