PURVEYR’s annual celebration of creative culture, PURVEYR Fair (Instagram), is back once more. This time around, it is happening during the anniversary month of the brand itself–on September 2-3 from 11am—9pm at Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City.

Here’s everything you can expect at this year’s Fair—from the most diverse lineup of brands, exclusive product/collection launches, talks, DJ sets, and an after-party.

First things first: a dedicated visual identity

You’ve probably seen the plethora of promotional materials that the team worked on online–all of which are consistent and distinct. The intricate work done on these promotions is proof that this year’s PURVEYR Fair has just gotten bigger.

Rooted in PURVEYR’s belief in the power of retail in featuring different creative communities, the past eight–and now nine–fairs showcased the intersection of commerce, culture, and creativity. To express this idea, PURVEYR worked with designer Kristian Henson to create PURVEYR Fair’s identity–a concoction of many different elements that represent our team’s belief on diversity and its role in keeping the fair vibrant, creative, and inspiring.

“I pitched the idea of misprints that happen on paper. It [misprints] may be chaotic and misaligned, but what comes from it is an unintentional, new image made out of the layers of elements. That is similar to how when cultures and communities interact, ideas and concepts also merge and overlap,” said Bea Pangandian, PURVEYR Design Associate. “I had Kristian Henson in mind whose works use a lot of typography that draws attention. He has a way of expressing details in layers and movement.”

“His style resonated so much with what we’re aiming to convey — a truly creative community is diverse, and most of the time, chaotic,” said Marvin Conanan, PURVEYR Brand Director.

Marketplace: the most diverse lineup yet—from crowd favorites to up and coming

The main highlight of the Fair has always been the variety of brands and businesses it
showcases. A mix of streetwear brands, fashion labels, homeware concepts, tattoo shops,
barber collectives, and more will set up their own temporary shops and spaces to sell goods,
share their advocacies, communicate their brand, and connect with the community. Just like last year, you can expect to witness the creativity and identity of each brand come alive in a physical space as the businesses are once again given the liberty to design their booths the way they want their brand to be perceived. This allows brands to provide a holistic brand
experience to the customers–from the physical atmosphere, to service, down to the products.
