We are happy to announce that Sound Fiesta is back for Season 2. Expect a new batch of  Filipino acts and tracks, from RnB to hip hop, soul to electronic, and more. If you haven’t checked out Season 1 yet, you can visit this page or our YouTube channel.

And to kick-off this new season, we invited Alisson Shore — an artist and producer from Batangas, and now based in Manila — to perform his track “Hanggang sa Huli”. Having first stepped into producing in 2011, he has now been pursuing music for eight years. While he dabbled into electronic and chillwave in the past, Alisson Shore is now focused on lofi and contemporary RnB which you can easily spot with the track above. To know more about him and his music, we talked with him briefly.

Why did you choose to use the name Alisson Shore? Is it deliberate to make it sound like a girl artist?

Yes, it was intentional. I wanted the name to sound feminine to poke fun out of people usually mistaking me as a female artist due to my voice. And so Alisson came from one of my favorite DJs, “Allison Wonderland”, then I added “Shore” to express balance — the thing that divides the land and the sea; the mediator — it also just plays around with the phrase, “Alice on Shore.”

Can you describe the Alisson Shore music?

Right now I have been heavily experimenting on bending and mixing genres together. I want to find other sounds and flavors to add to RnB to make it more interesting. And then whatever I get to produce I mix with Tagalog lyrics to appeal to more Filipinos. By doing this, I get to share different types of music that might not be interesting to them otherwise.

What led you to write and produce Hanggang sa Huli?

I created “Hanggang sa Huli” to inspire hope to its listeners — a way of making them know that everything is going to be okay even if things aren’t going their way.

Anything your followers need to know about you moving forward? Any releases or projects in the near future?

A great future in terms of my growth in music lies ahead; I’m not afraid to take risks anymore. I’ll be done with contemporary RnB and I’m moving forward, I’ll explore music that I think have never been delivered before.
